Two people were injured in a four-vehicle crash on Route 161 just west of Moonglow Road on the east side of Centralia late Friday night.
State Police say three units were slowing or stopped in traffic when for an unknown reason a fourth vehicle failed to stop and started a chain reaction collision.
The driver of the vehicle that started the crash and the driver of the first vehicle he hit were both transported to an area hospital for treatment of injuries.
The other two drivers were not hurt.
The names of those involved have not been released.
Both the Centralia Fire Protection District and Lifestar Ambulance assisted at the scene.
The crash occurred at 10:52 Friday night.
