With Hurricane Helene devastating parts of the southern part of the country, several crews from all over the USA have been called to help their fellow Americans. One such lineman, Salem High School graduate Tyler Powless, now living in Iuka. He works for ARC out of IBEW 1393 in Indianapolis. He’s a journeyman union lineman
He received the message that he was heading to Ashville, North Carolina on Wednesday where he will join crews staying in man camps with limited food and water while the community was in quote – total devastation.
The area community came through big when it came to donations as they crews were heading out. A total of 272 bottles of water, food, toiletries, clothing & more made its way and dropped off at a local church Friday morning.
