Salem Police arrested a 58-year-old Salem man wanted on a no-bond Marion County failure to appear warrant in a burglary case. Daniel Putt of Radio Tower Road was taken to the Marion County Jail to await a Monday appearance before a judge.
Centralia Police are investigating a hit-and-run accident where a vehicle hit a power pole near 17th and Poplar. The pole was found lying on the ground. At the last report, the vehicle has not been located. The incident occurred around 2:30 Sunday morning.
