The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for Marion, Washington, and Randolph Counties in Illinois along with several Missouri counties beginning Tuesday evening through Wednesday morning.
Thunderstorms are expected to produce heavy rain Tuesday evening through the early morning hours on Wednesday which may lead to localized flash flooding. Rainfall amounts of two to four inches will be possible in narrow corridors where thunderstorms track over the same areas. Locally higher amounts will be possible.
Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
