Centralia Police say a stoplight and pole were knocked to the pavement in a three-vehicle crash at Broadway and Poplar in Centralia on Monday.

Centralia Police say a car driven by 37-year-old Jenifer Atchison of Airport Road in Centralia was westbound on Broadway when she reportedly ran the red light at Poplar Street.   Atchison was first struck by a pickup driven by 62-year-old David Guthrie of West 4th in Centralia.  The impact caused the Guthrie truck to spin around and strike a southbound vehicle in the other lane driven by 48-year-old April Noyce of Main Street in Kell.

The Atchison car then continued skidding and struck the traffic light pole knocking it and the signal to the pavement.

All three drivers escaped injury, but an 8-year-old boy who was in the Noyce car was taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment of injuries.  Two other passengers escaped injury.

Atchison was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and disobeying a traffic control device.
