The field of contestants is set for the 2024 Marion County Fair and Junior Miss contestants.
The ten seeking the Miss Marion County title are Bailey Maas, Gabriella Curtner, Madelyn Dailey, and Celeste Marshall of Centralia, Katelyn Beigeleisen and Ella Douglas of Salem, Abigail Evans of Vernon, Preslee Harris of Iuka, Mariah Williams of Sandoval, and Lydia Donoho of Bluford. One of the contestants will be crowned by outgoing Queen Kaitlyn Banning of Salem as the 2024 Queen. The pageant is set for Tuesday, July 30th, at seven pm at the Marion County Fair Grandstand. Along with the queen competition, 18 Little Misses will be crowned that night.
The 18 Junior Miss Contestants this year include Makenna Williams, McLinleigh Parker, Savannah Williams, Josslyn Beaty, Baylie Purcell, Tessa Bookhout, Aubrey Parker, Heaven Hudson, Journee Hall, and Savannah Booher all of Salem, Alexia Reyna, Giada Saums and Victoria Boyce of Centralia, Jacelynn Hopkins and Avree Hodge, and KyLynn Hopkins of Sandoval, Journey Holstlaw of Iuka, and Hope Despres of Central City. The Jr. Miss pageant will be held on Thursday, August 1st at 7:00 p.m. Current Junior Miss Marion County Fair Queen Aubri Landreth of Patoka will crown the 2024 winner. 18 Little Misses will be crowned that night as well.
Everyone is invited to come to the fund raising lunch for the queen pageants this Sunday from eleven to one at the Salem Elks Lodge. Tickets may be purchased at the door. $16 for adults and $8 for children. Carry outs are available.
