The Salem Recycling Bin that is normally on the Marion County Parking Lot in the 200 block of North Broadway is out of operation temporarily.
Keep Salem Beautiful’s Rita Boudet says due to COVID-19, the person who normally takes the bin to the Centralia Recycling Center to be emptied is not available. When the isolation ends, the recycling bind will once again be brought back for use. Boudet expects that to be later this month.
If you don’t want to wait, you can take recyclables directly to the Centralia Recycling Center on Route 161 West on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons or on Saturday mornings.
