Doris J. Cobb, 75, of Germantown passed away in peace on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Centralia Manor. She was born on February 25, 1949, the daughter of Oscar Elmer and Dicie Jeniece (Perry) LeMarr in Salem, IL.

Survivors include her beloved family, her children, Mary Arnold and husband Michael of Iuka, and Terry P. Dinkelman of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Alex (Lindsey) Arnold, Isabelle (Brock) Johnson, Madysen Arnold, Jacob Arnold and fiancée, Geordyn McGinnis, Brenden Huston, Sawyer Arnold, Kuyler (Holly) Nelson, Damien Nelson; great-grandchildren, Brycen, Jase, Emma, Zain, Luke, Logan, Vivian, Bexlee, Staelin, and Dria; brothers, Clyde (Sandy) LeMarr, Clinton (Sandy) LeMarr; sisters, Christine Arnold, and Edith Arnold; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Elmer and Dicie Jeniece LeMarr; and her sister, Regina Mooney; brother-in-law, Bob Arnold

Doris was raised in sight of a beautiful mountain view and truly enjoyed country living. She found a day fishing by the bank quite relaxing. She was a gracious host, preparing Sunday dinners for family, and baking with her grandchildren, Brenden and Sawyer. She was an avid reader who loved a good page turner. Doris adored fresh flowers, with lilacs being her favorite. She was quite lucky at bingo and liked to play whenever she could. Doris was determined, a survivor, persevering through tough situations, and a fierce protector of all of her loved ones. Doris’ strong faith was to be admired. Doris was a lovely lady who was one hundred percent devoted to her family, grateful every day to be a Grandma that loved her grandchildren with all her heart.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval with Pastor Bryan Bennett officiating. Friends and relatives are welcome to offer words of comfort for Doris’ family one hour prior to the time of the service (12:00 to 1:00 p.m.) at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in Doris’ honor to the Family’s Wishes and will be accepted for the family at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia.
