Betty Marie (Jackson) Kirkpatrick, 104, passed away at Saint Dominic Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi on June 4, 2024. She was born October 12, 1919, in Waldren, Arkansas to the late George and Theo Slater.
Betty married Jess Jackson. They were married for 60 years before he preceded her in death. She later married Robert Kirkpatrick. They were blessed with five years of marriage before he also preceded her in death.
Betty is survived by her great-nephews, Wayland Slater of Winnfield, Louisiana, and Jay Slater and wife, Vickie of Raymond, Mississippi; great-niece, Kathryn Slater of Winnfield, Louisiana; four great-great-nieces; two great-great-nephews; four great-great-great-nieces; and three great-great-great-nephews.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Betty is preceded in death by her brother, Clerance Slater; and nephew, Don Slater.
Betty was a former CPA for Page Insurance and loved her golf and dancing. She was a member of the Central Christian Church, as well as the Mount Vernon Moose Lodge and Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 233. Betty was a whole lot of greatness and will be deeply missed by all who knew and adored her.
