Centralia Police arrested two people on felony drug charges following a traffic stop Monday afternoon at 13th and Elm Streets.
24-year-old Katlynn Hoffman of Old Salem Road and 27-year-old Blake Shafran of Lakewood Drive in Centralia were both formally charged in Marion County Court on Tuesday with possession of under five grams of methamphetamine.
Bond for Shafran was set at $7,500. Bond for Hoffman was set at $5,000. Both had the public defender appointed to represent them.
Centralia Police reports indicate Hoffman allegedly had meth in her possession.
A bag found in the vehicle that included Shafran’s credit card allegedly contained two baggies with 60 tablets of what field-tested as heroin mixed with fentanyl, five loose capsules, a syringe with a small amount of liquid, and a spoon with residue. The bag also contained a dose of NARCAN, which is used to revive those who overdose with heroin. Police say Shafran admitted the items belonged to him.
