Dennis Ray Heflin, age 69 of Salem, passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Carle Foundation Hospital on Urbana. Dennis wore many hats in life, he worked as a factory worker and private home healthcare worker. He attended Grace Church of the Nazarene in Salem.

He is survived by three children, Cynthia Green of Salem, Dennis Heflin Jr. of Edwardsville, and Sheila Heflin Matarza and husband Anthony of Willowick, Ohio; six grandchildren, Taylor, Ethan and Benjaman Mataraza and three other grandchildren; and several other family members.
Dennis was born on November 2, 1951 the son of Lee and Roberta (Stanford) Heflin. He married Nancy Jo (Sweet) Heflin on November 26, 1980 and she preceded him in death. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
