Wednesday is the Veterans Day Holiday.
Most government offices are closed. That includes area courthouses and Salem and Centralia City Hall. Garbage pickup in Centralia will remain on the regular schedule, while in Salem garbage pickup and the leaf vacuum will NOT operate on Wednesday and will then be one day late the rest of this week.
The Salem American Legion will have a turkey dinner with all the sides and dessert for Veterans from eleven Wednesday morning until the food runs out. The meal is free to Veterans and their spouses. The general public is welcome and can eat for a donation. The dinner will be dine-in, outside dining, or carryout. You can call 548-0128 for more information.
