A Bluford woman was injured in a crash when her car was struck in the side by a spray truck at the U.S. 51 and Britt Road intersection in Patoka late Friday morning.
Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies say Jane Heins was traveling northbound on U.S. 51 when a spray truck driven by 50-year-old John Spicer of North Spruce in Patoka pulled from a stop sign on Britt Road and hit the driver’s side of the car. Deputies say Heins tried to swerve to avoid the sprayer, but was unable to do so.
Heins was taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment of injuries.
Spicer was not injured.
The Heins car received heavy damage to the driver’s side. The sprayer received only very minor damage.
The crash occurred at 11:19 Friday morning.
