Six members of the Centralia Police and Fire Department as well as a Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputy have been honored with Valor Awards from the 100 Club of Illinois.
The Centralia first responders were honored for their heroic acts in saving a man in a structure fire on Bond Street in Centralia last October. Those honored were Centralia Police Sergeant Ryan Bundy and officers Travis Ripperda and Nolan Beggs, Centralia 911 Dispatcher Derek Moss, and Centralia Fire Captain Blake Perez and Lieutenant Jordan Parson.
