Judith Estell, 81, of Mascoutah, passed away at 11:55 p.m., Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon, Illinois.
She was born August 16, 1942, in Carbon Hill, Alabama, the daughter of Wallace Joshua and Nellie May (Sparks) Estell. Judith worked as a nurse for thirty-five years.
She is survived by a son, Charles Johnson of Kennesaw, Georgia; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Jack Estell of Alabama, and Roger Estell of Georgia; and sisters, Shirley Hamilton of Texas, and Carolyn Green of Iuka.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Buck Estell, Gene Estell, and Charles Estell; and sisters, Sue Short and Eileen Spangler.
Private funeral services for Ms. Estell have been accorded, with burial at Donoho Prairie Cemetery.
