Brandon D. Grames, 38, of Salem, Illinois, formerly of St. Elmo, Illinois, passed away on April 6, 2024, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
Born on April 13, 1985, in Vandalia, the son of Roger Gottman and Rhonda Grames. He was a 2004 graduate of Salem Community High School. Brandon never let his challenges diminish his joy or his willingness to contribute to the happiness of others. He had a love for music and making beaded necklaces, a token of love and care he generously gave to family and friends.
Brandon’s legacy is carried on by his devoted mother, Rhonda Grames of Salem; his loving sister, Sandy (Kevin) Shook of Junction City; and his adored nieces and nephews, whom he affectionately referred to as “the grandkids”: Kyle Starr, Dayton Woods, Emma Woods, Kaylynn Shook, and Gauge Shook. His extended family, including five stepbrothers, J.C. (Jennifer) Watson, James (Kender) Watson, Eric Watson, Allen (Essa) Watson, and Lenny Watson; three stepsisters, Tanya Watson, Patty (Travis) Bivens, and Mary (Greg) Combs; and twenty-six step-nieces and nephews, will also hold Brandon in their hearts forever.
Brandon was greeted in heaven by his father, Roger Gottman; his grandparents, Kathryn and Dale Grames; and his special niece, Bella Watson, who all preceded him in death.
The family invites friends and loved ones to join them in celebrating Brandon’s life at Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Beecher City.
