A downtown Centralia women’s clothing store has completed the purchase of the former Shopper’s Weekly newspaper building at Broadway and Poplar and will be moving there soon.

KloTHeer Boutique is currently located a few blocks away at 301 East Broadway.

The owners of the business that started in July 2021 are Kelsey Smith and Alicia Boehne.

Smith notes the Shopper’s Weekly Building was initially built for the Smart Shop women’s clothing store that was a staple of downtown Centralia for years.

“We are very excited about the expansion and the growth we are able to do.  And we are really excited to get in there and excited on what we will have to offer.”

Smith says they hope to expand their current offerings in women’s clothing and accessories as well as expand their gift shop to include more costume jewelry, hats, and purses.   She credits their customers and their loyalty for the ability to expand.

Smith is also excited about remaining downtown.

“We’ve been down there for about 2.5 years and we just love the community down there and everything it has to offer.  It’s great.”

KloTHeer Boutique has women’s clothing for all ages starting at pre-teen through adults.

Smith says they had their eye on the Shopper’s Weekly building for some time and had asked the owners John and Cathy Stuehmeier to contact them if they ever wanted to sell.   The sale came together quickly following the retirement of the Stuehmeier’s.

Smith says they also own their current downtown building at 301 East Broadway and are looking for another business that would like to rent that facility.
