Beverly “Billie Ann” Branon, 74, of Centralia, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born September 21, 1949, in Centralia, to Grace Stinde and was raised by her grandparents Eck and Fern Miller along with their youngest daughter Linda (Miller) Telford, Billie Ann’s special aunt. She married Jim Branon on November 30, 1966, in Centralia and he survives..
In addition to her husband of 57 years, Jim Branon of Centralia, Billie Ann is also survived by her two sons: Jay Branon and wife Beth of Centralia with their children: Katie Pollmann and husband Connor, Hannah, and Garrett, and Tim Branon and wife Tammy of Centralia and their two daughters: Lauren and Raegan and special friend Jake Burge, one sister: Penny Massey, three brothers: Lonnie Altom, Jim Altom, and Joe Altom and his wife Tina, an aunt: Mable Horton, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Eck & Fern Miller, mother; Grace Stinde, brother: Ronnie Altom, and two sisters: Kay Brookman and Mary Atchison.
Billie Ann worked at Warren G. Murray Developmental Center for 35 years. She loved playing Texas Holdem, solving crossword puzzles, and spending time with her family and her fur babies: Charlie and Izzy. Billie Ann was of the Baptist Faith. She also had a passion for hosting and assisting Fundraisers for the area youth and other charitable organizations.
Per Billie Ann’s wishes, a Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia with Cremation Rites to follow. Entombment at the Hillcrest Lakeside Mausoleum will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to help organize a Scholarship in memory of Billie Ann (checks may be made to Tim Branon or Jay Branon) and/ or the Centralia Humane Society and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home at 235 North Sycamore Street Centralia, Illinois 62801, (618)532-3523, who is honored to be of service to the Branon Family.
