The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a complaint filed by a Marion woman that she was robbed of her cell phone and Apple Watch while traveling in a vehicle through Centralia.

The woman told deputies she was then ordered out of the car near the Route 161 and Schwartz Road intersection around four Friday morning.   A passing motorist saw her along the roadside and called the sheriff’s department.

The woman said the incident began when she accepted a ride from her ex-boyfriend and ended up in West Salem.   She then got a ride from a man and two women she did not know to be able to get back to Marion.   But instead, she reported they went to Greenville and back down to the Centralia area.

The alleged victim said the three had accused her of taking money before displaying a knife.    She said she turned over the phone and watch to avoid being stabbed.

Deputies say the woman had no signs of injury and required no hospital treatment.
