A 37-year-old Centralia man was arrested by Centralia Police on multiple charges following an early Thursday morning traffic crash.
Jonathan Bailey of South Maple told police he was eating a donut and not paying attention to the road when he ran into another vehicle at Elm and Calumet. No one was injured, but police say they found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in his vehicle.
In addition, Bailey was wanted in connection with a March 28th home invasion in the 700 block of South Elm. Reports from the incident indicate Bailey broke a bedroom window to get inside the home of a woman he had a prior relationship. He allegedly tried to get the woman’s cell phone unsuccessfully before she was able to call police. Bailey could not be located at the time police arrived.
Bailey was taken to the Marion County Jail for home invasion, criminal damage to property, and the drug charges. He was released from custody Friday by the Marion County State’s Attorney’s office pending further investigation.
