Edward “Ed” Donaldson Keyes, 93, of Mount Vernon, IL, passed away at 5:15 pm October 19, 2020 at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon, IL. Ed was a member of Central Christian Church and the Mt. Vernon Illinois Lions Club #196. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

Ed married Marjorie Freeze Keyes on June 4, 1949 in Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey. Ed is survived by Three Sons, Stephen Edward (Debra) Keyes of Noblesville, IN, John David (Debbie) Keyes of Springfield, IL, Dan Stuart (Mary) Keyes of Mount Vernon, IL; Nine Grandchildren, Melissa (Brian) Meyer, Rachelle (Kevin) Walters, Marcie (Joe) Larson, Karmen (Bethany) Keyes, John David Keyes, Jr., Christin (Greg) Braswell, Diana Depyatic, Brian (Sarah Jo) Keyes, and Dayna (Shawn) Toliver; Eighteen Great Grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was born January 6, 1927 in New York City, NY to John Dunton and Ruth (Moorehouse) Keyes. Ed was preceded in death by his Parents, Brother, John Keyes, and Two Sisters, Barbara Griffith and Debbie Busch.
