Charles E. McKinney, age 76 of Alma, passed away at his home on Sunday, October 4, 2020.
Charles worked for Long Elevator for 31 years, installing and constructing elevators.
A Memorial Service for Charles E. McKinney will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem, with Claude Howell officiating. Charles was born on June 11, 1944, in Springfield, the son of Eugene and Rosella (McGuire) McKinney. He married Vickey E. Estes on December 22, 1963, she survives in Alma.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Lorie Sue Minnix of Edinburg and James E. McKinney and wife Kim of Springfield; two sisters, Sandy Jean Challans of Springfield and Rosemary Carraher and husband Richard of Texas; grandchildren, Jason Minnix, James Williams, Madelyn Williams, Matthew McKinney and Marie McKinney; and a great-granddaughter, Abigail.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
