2024 02/08 – Dickie Peoples

Dickie Peoples passed away on February 1st, 2024, at his residence with his wife by his side.

He was born July 4th 1946, in Centralia. He was the son of Hulen Peoples and Wilma (Guy) Peoples. He also has three sons, Danny Brown of Centralia, Chris Brown and wife Molly of Centralia, and Shaun Brown of Centralia. He has one daughter, Michelle Atchison and husband Ron of Centralia.

He has 3 sisters, Charlotte Morgan of Centralia, Rebecca Cross of Springfield, and Elizabeth Peoples of Centralia.

He has one brother Allen Peoples and a wife Susan of Texas.In addition, he has 18 grandkids, and 15 great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Peoples graduated from Centralia Township High School in 1964. He served 3 years in the US Army. He was also a part of the VFW, Moose, and Texas Foldem Club. He was a Mason for 46 years. He was a hard worker. He worked at Rockwell International for 21 years. He was a member of Local 520 for 54 years and was president there for some time. He worked at Continental Tire as a security guard for 4 years. He was retired for 16 years.

Most importantly, he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, he will be dearly missed by those who knew him.

A graveside service for Dickie Peoples will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at the Boyd Cemetery with Military Honors at 1:00 pm.
