Christine L. Mazanek Rogers, 60, of Sarasota, Florida formerly of Alma, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 22, 2024, at Tampa General in Tampa, Florida.She was born August 30, 1963, in Salem, the daughter of Richard Mazanek and Charlotte (Wielage) Mazanek. She married William “Bill” Rogers on July 1, 2017, and he survives.In addition to her mother: Charlotte Mazanek of Alma and husband, Bill Rogers of Sarasota, Florida, Christine is also survived by her children: Eric Rohner and wife Lindsey and Holly Rohner and fiance Jonathan DeGraw; grandchildren: Elaine DeGraw, Carter DeGraw and Gemma Rohner; step-daughters: Lyndsey Rogers and Daniel O’Brien and Jennifer Rogers and husband Thomas Oyola; step-grandchildren: Daniel O’Brien, Jr. and Brayden O’Brien; brother: Bradley Mazanek and wife Lisa; sister: Susan Bull and husband Len; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.She was preceded in death by her father: Richard Mazanek.Christine graduated from Kinmundy-Alma High School with the class of 1981. She graduated from Manatee Technical Institute in Florida with her Dental Assistant Certification. Christine worked as a Dental Assistant for several years. She loved spending time at the beach, soaking up the sun, and having her toes in the sand. Christine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt.Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 2, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Alma Christian Church with Pastor Josh Conley officiating. Burial will follow at the Alma Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 1, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Alma Christian Church and also on Friday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church. Burial will follow at the Alma Cemetery in Alma, Illinois.
