2024 01/27 – Dillon Keltner

Dillon Keltner, 86, of Salem passed away January 15th, 2024 with his wife by his side.

He was born March 3rd, 1937 in Gradyville, Kentucky, the son of Cody and Lurlie (Sullivan) Keltner. He married Charlene Ruff and they enjoyed over 30 years together.

In addition to his wife, Charlene Keltner, he is survived by three daughters: Kellie (Chris) Johnson of Salem, Cheri Collier and significant other Charlie Casner of Salem, and Wendy Mendoza of Napa Valley, California. Two brothers: Travis Keltner of Louisville, Kentucky, and Levis (Joanne) Keltner of Raleigh, N. Carolina. Seven grandchildren: Courtney Shepard, Dalton Dobyns, Madison Rodotz, Hailey Johnson, Zachary Johnson, Valerie Collier, and Shelby Johnson. Four great-grandchildren: Gavin Ambri, Jayci Shepard, Miyah Shepard, and Thatcher Dobyns. As well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister-in-law Patsy Keltner.

Dillon retired from World Color Press as a bindery operator. He was an avid fisherman, as well as a bird hunter. He and his wife were longtime attendees of the Salem Lutheran Church. He was also a member of the Masonic Valley Lodge in Valley Station, Kentucky for over 60 years.

Per Dillon’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Salem Lutheran Church at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 27, 2024.
