Three people have pleaded guilty in Marion County Court in cases of theft, forgery, and possession of methamphetamine.
20-year-old DeMarcus Funchess of Carbondale pleaded guilty to felony theft of US currency from the Phillip 66 station in Central City last February. He was placed on 30 months second chance probation, ordered to undergo drug, alcohol, and mental health evaluation and treatment, complete 30 hours of public service work, and make $425 restitution to the Phillip 66 Station.
31-year-old Korey Brown of Lamar Street in Salem pleaded guilty to one of three forgery charges pending against him for writing checks on another person’s account at a Salem business. Brown was placed on two years’ probation and ordered to undergo drug, alcohol, and mental health evaluation and treatment. He was also ordered to make $513 in restitution to Walmart. As part of the plea, the two other forgery charges and another felony and major traffic charge were dropped.
A 33-year-old Centralia man has pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of less than five grams of methamphetamine. Fernando Garcia of South Hickory was placed on two years’ probation and ordered to undergo drug, alcohol, and mental health evaluation and treatment. He was also ordered to pay a $600 probationary fee and a $200 public defender fee.
