The Marion County Relay for Life has announced a new fund raising total and individual and team awards from this weekend’s event.
The new fund raising total is $44,155.88. That number is expected to go up again as fund raising continues up until December first.
The Top Fund Raising Team was Big D, raising $15,569.
The Top Individual Fundraiser was D Ann Davenport at $9,495.
The Big D team also won for Best Decorated Team Site.
In addition to Davenport, Beth Orrell was named as an All Star Fundraiser for raising over $2,500. She raised a total of $6,197.
The Grand Club Fundraisers for those who raised over $1,000 apiece included Theresa Oldham, Renee Palazzolo, Jami Elmore, Diane Barnes, and Gail Williams as well as Beth Orrell and D Ann Davenport.
There were 94 participants in this year’s Relay for Life and 15 teams. There were 70 registered Survivors. About 400 luminaria were sold remembering those who have fought cancer.
