Centralia Mayor Bryan Kuder has declared September 18th through the 24th as ‘National Rail Safety Week’
In the proclamation, Kuder said the city would partner with the International Association of Chiefs of Police, National Operation Lifesaver, United States Department of Transportation, and all local, state, county and railroad law enforcement officers, first responders and railroad corporations to enforce applicable laws to avoid injuries and death along the railroad tracks.
The proclamation was accepted by the Risk Mitigation Officer for the CN Railroad Phil Schimanski.
