Marion County Treasurer Gary Purcell is reminding everyone that the first installment of 2022 payable in 2023 Marion County property tax bills is due by Thursday, July 27th.   Interest fees will be added after that day.

Here’s how you can pay your property tax bill:

  • Online: Pay by E-Check, Credit Card or Visa Debit Card at ilmarion.com Fee applies: E-Check $1.50 for up to 20 parcels / Credit/Debit Card 2.45%
  • Pay by Phone: 1-844-934-2444 : Credit/debit care or E-check, Fee applies: E-Check $1.50 for up to 20 parcels / Credit/Debit Card 2.45%
  • Secure payment drop box: Located on North Broadway/Route 37 (west entrance of the Courthouse) – checks or certified funds.
  • In Person: The Treasurer’s office takes check, cash, credit/debit cards, and other certified funds in its office on the first floor of the Marion County Courthouse, 8:00a – 4:00p., M-F, except designated holidays
  • By mail: Check or certified funds Marion County Treasurer P.O. 1025 Salem IL, 62881
  • At your local Bank: Most banks in Marion County take property tax payments on or before the due dates listed on the bill. Authorized locations: First Financial Bank, Farmer’s State Bank, US Bank, Iuka State Bank, Kaskaskia Valley Credit Union, FNB Kinmundy, Marion County Saving Bank, FNB Patoka, FNB Sandoval, People’s National Bank, Midland States Bank, Gen Fed Credit Union, Peoples State Bank.
