A 23-year-old Salem man was injured Sunday night when he accidentally shot himself in the leg with a gun at a home on the 1900 block of Yards Road northeast of Salem.
Marion County Sheriff Kevin Cripps says Chance Simmons of East Church was taken to Salem Township Hospital for treatment and was later released.
Reports on how the incident occurred are not yet complete.
