Three people were arrested on outstanding warrants on Friday.
Centralia Police arrested 22-year-old Christien Jagasar of South Maple in Centralia on an outstanding St. Clair County warrant. He was taken to the Marion County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bond.
Centralia Police arrested 49-year-old Vernon Bivins of Herrin on an outstanding no-bond California warrant.
28-year-old Eduardo Santiago-Martinez of Martin Luther King Drive in Centralia was arrested at the courthouse on Friday on an outstanding Marion County traffic warrant. He later posted $250 cash bond and was released.
Salem Firemen were called out twice on Friday. The first call was a small grass fire on I-57 at mile marker 106 seven miles south of the Salem exit. Firemen say construction crews working in the area put out the fire before their arrival. Firemen were called out about midnight to a fire alarm sounding in a room at the Holiday Inn. A guest using a fragrance apparently set off the alarm. There was no fire.
