The Salem Community Blood Drive is underway this (Wednesday) afternoon at the Salem Community Activity Center.
This is the drive where all who present themselves to donate receive a Red Cross-St. Louis Cardinals T-Shirt as long as they last. Hot dogs are being grilled out along with chips and other goodies for those donating blood.
The Red Cross is in need of all types of blood, especially type O.
You can also pick up a WJBD-WSIQ jar opener, pen, and wallet-size magnifying glass if you stop by.
The blood drive continues until five this afternoon.
