A 36-year-old Salem woman has been charged in Marion County Court with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon after allegedly hitting another Salem woman over the head with a baseball bat.
Salem Police arrested Shannon Garney of Warmoth Street after she allegedly took a bat away from a 36-year-old woman in the 300 block of West Olive and then struck her in the head.
The alleged victim was taken to Salem Township Hospital for treatment of injuries.
The incident occurred at 4:04 Thursday afternoon.
