Donald Jackson, 62, of Centralia passed away Friday, May 5, 2023, in his home surrounded by his loved ones.
Donald was born November 26, 1960, in Greenville, Illinois, the son of Hubert Jackson and Beatrice (Pare) Jackson. He married Tiffany (Miller) Jackson on April 24, 2009, in Salem, Illinois.
In addition to his wife Tiffany, Donald is survived by his sister Kathy Navarre and husband Gary of New Orleans, Louisiana, and numerous special friends.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents: Hubert and Beatrice Jackson.
Donald was of the Catholic faith. He worked at a number of different companies around the Centralia area. He was a welder at Big 3, worked at several factories, and worked at several gas stations in town. He enjoyed woodworking. He often spent time mowing, not only his own yard but other people’s yards too. He was a kind and thoughtful individual and will be dearly missed by those that knew him.
Per Donald Jackson’s wishes, his body was donated to the Southern University of Carbondale for science. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois where friends are welcome to come from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
