Sixth graders from eight area schools attended the Safety Day at the Marion County Fairgrounds on Thursday.
The annual program is put together by Agriculture in the Classroom Teacher Meggan Hiestand.
“We have 7 stations today, the stations are chemical safety, water safety, fire safety, underground utilities, ATV safety and Air Evac.”
Hiestand hopes by attending the various stations the sixth graders will have more safety awareness.
Schools in attendance were South Central, Odin, Kell, Selmaville, Patoka, Trinity Lutheran, Central City and St. Mary’s-Centralia.
