2023 03/18 – Jim Venters (REVISED)

Jim Venters, 82, of Salem, Illinois formerly of Odin passed away on January 12, 2023, at Carlyle Healthcare with family at his side.

Born July 31, 1940, in Fairfield, he was the son of Delbert A. and Esther M. (Canfield) Venters.

Celebration of Life services have now been re-set for 12:00 O’clock noon, Saturday, March 18, 2023, in the chapel of Sutherland – Rankin Funeral Home in Salem. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the service hour. Burial will be private. Military honors will be accorded at the funeral home by the Salem American Legion Post #128. Jim was a Viet Nam and Iraq veteran having served faithfully in both the Marine Corps and the U. S. Army. There will be a time of visitation from 11:00 am until the service hour.
