Ronald G. Herman, 77, of Centralia, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2022, at his home.
Ronald was born in Quincy, IL., the son of Alfred W. Herman and Helen L. (Libbie) Herman.
Ronald is survived by special friend Tammie Johnson of Centralia; four sons: Carl Herman and wife Lisa of Colchester, IL., Christopher Herman of Pulaski, TN, Jason Herman of Moline, IL and John Haberman and wife Kristina of Hollister, MO.: daughter Millissa Gilfillan and husband Pat of Prairie City, IL.: eight grandchildren; Dalton Phillips, Karlee Herman, Chiann Helton, Matt Billingsley, Amanda and Elizabeth Gilfillan and Gaige and Kerrstin Haberman: with three great-grandchildren.Ronald is preceded in death by his parents: Alfred and Helen Herman and a sister Shirley Kelley.
Ronald was a jokester and wanted to put a smile on everyone’s face and had a selfless concern for the well-being of others. His hobbies were the ham radio and remote control airplanes.
Per his wishes, Ronald will be cremated and the family will have a Celebration of Life Service in Quincy, IL. at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and be accepted at Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home and Cremation Services at 235 N. Sycamore Street.
