Anthony “Tony” W. Rinne, 55, of Salem, Illinois passed away on January 2, 2023, at St. Louis University Hospital.sutherlandfuneralhome.com Tony was a devoted employee of Precision. A member of Labor Local 1197, he particularly enjoyed working on the pipeline. Personally, he was an outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing. He and Della were presently building their new home. Tony like both bonfires and beer. He married Della Tanner, on June 25, 2004, in Woodbury, TN and she survives in Salem, along with their children Preston Rinne of Centralia, IL, Katrina Rinne and special friend Tommy of Centralia, IL, Diana and Rilan Robinson of Casey, IL, Alisha Nichols and husband Fr. Jacob of Dallas, TX, and daughter-in-love, Chelsea Mulvaney and husband Coleman of Salem, IL; his fur friend and service dog Cooper; four grandchildren Keegan, Alayna, Avalyn and Alyviah and his parents, Wayne and Ruth Rinne of Hoffman, IL and Jean and Larry Fark of Centralia, IL and sisters Stacey Mulvaney of Alma, IL and Amanda Rinne of Lebanon, IL along with a host of extended family and friends.
Tony was born July 12, 1967, in Nashville, IL, the son of Wayne W. and Jean (Hartwell) Rinne. Visitation will be 4:00 pm Friday at the Evergreen Christian Church in Salem, followed by a funeral service at 7:00 pm. Pastor Shannon Bopp will officiate. Burial will be private. The family request in Tony’s honor those attending dress casually and that crocs are acceptable. Memorials may be lovingly made to the family and will be accepted by the Sutherland – Rankin Funeral Home, P.O. Box 97, 310 N.
