Wanda Lee Myers, 84, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 10:41 am December 3, 2022, at Mount Vernon Health Care Center.
She was born August 26, 1938, in Aden, Illinois to the late Amon Eldon and Erma Dean(Wheeler) Frazier. Wanda was married to Bobbie Dean Myers.
Wanda is survived by her daughter, Ginny (Michael) Riley of Mount Vernon, Illinois; grandchildren, Rob (Diana) Riley of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Angie (Brian) Zirkelbach of Carmel, Indiana, Chrystal Myers of Paducah, Kentucky, Jason Myers of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Kristen Kirk of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Shannon Ohjomo of Robinson, Illinois; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her daughter, Janie Myers; son, Johnny Myers; three brothers, and two sisters.
Wanda worked at the Mount Vernon Shoe Factory and was a CNA at Good Sam Hospital. Later in her career, she worked at Comprehensive Services for twenty-five years as a Substance Abuse Counselor. She was of the Methodist Faith and loved hummingbirds. Wanda will be greatly missed.
A Graveside Service will be held Thursday, December 8, 2022, at 11:00 am at Bethel Memorial Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Illinois with Reverend Jeff Harrell officiating. Interment will follow.
