2022 12/02 – Daniel A. Arnold

Daniel A. Arnold III, age 68 of Alma, passed away on November 26, 2022, at his home in Alma.

Dan was born on March 8, 1954, in Salem, Illinois, the son of the late D.A. and Berneice (Sill) Arnold.

Survivors include his two brothers, Merle Arnold and wife Jaye, Ted Arnold and wife Sandy both of Alma; a sister, Martha Holmes and husband Dennis of Alma; sister-in-law, Anita Easley of Salem; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Dan graduated from Kinmundy- Alma High School in the class of 1972, and then graduated with his master’s degree in communications from Sangamon State University in Springfield.  Dan was employed in the communications field for the majority of his adult life.

He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. He enjoyed getting together with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Eddie Easley; two nephews, Brad Easley and Scott Easley; and a great-nephew, Derek Branstetter.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Alma Cemetery in Alma, Illinois with Josh Conley officiating.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Shriner Children’s Hospital in St. Louis or to the donor’s choice and can be left at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem which is assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences can be made at www.CrouseFH.com.
