Gary G. Moore, age 70 of Salem, passed away at his home on Thursday, November 24, 2022.
Gary was born on August 17, 1952, in Louisville, IL the son of Vaughn R. and Beverly (Stanley) Moore. He married Mary “Kathy” Ord on January 11, 1970, and she survives in Salem.
In addition to his wife Mary Moore, he is survived by his mother, Beverly Moore of Olney; four children, Michael Moore and special friend Mary Nauert, David Moore and fiancé Amy Wilson, Mandy Harrell and special friend Anthony Howard, and Jessica Stachowski and husband Robert all of Salem; grandchildren, Taylor, Logan, McKenzie, Gannon, Mallory, Hudson, Sierra, Savannah, Sydney, Kaylee and Hadley; ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Karen Deverick and husband Bob of Ocala, FL; two brothers, Timothy Moore and wife Paula of Sandoval and Avery Moore and wife Jamie of Salem; and several nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by Gus, his loyal loving English Bulldog who lay by his side until his very last day.
He was preceded in death by his father, Vaughn Moore; and siblings, Kenny Moore, Mel Hendricks, Monty Moore, and Jeffrey Moore.
Gary worked for many years in maintenance at Swan Corporation,Gilster-Mary Lee and later at the Salem Township Hospital. He was a member of the Ham Radio Club and he enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Gary also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Celebration of Life Services will be held Wednesday, November 30, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Crouse Funeral Home.
