Lorene Ruth Canupp, 95, of Centralia, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia.www.sutherlandfuneralhome.com
She was born in 1927 in Chelsea, Oklahoma, the daughter of Ora Earnest Brown and Mary Alice (Huston) Brown. She married Adam Leonard Canupp on August 9, 1945, and he preceded her in death on October 30, 2018. She is survived by a son: Mark Canupp and wife Kathy of Lancaster, Kentucky; two nieces: Lori Smith of California and Kyla Brown of Chicago; one nephew: Doug Brown of Carlyle; special friends: Todd, Renee, and Becca Johnson all of Centralia. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter: Linda Watts, two brothers: Roy Brown and Kioh Brown, and one sister: Opal Delozier. Per Lorene Canupp’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and no public service at this time. Entombment will be held at a later date at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church in Centralia and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home and Cremation Services 235 North Sycamore Street Centralia, Illinois 62801, (618)532-3523, who is honored to be of service to the Canupp Family.
