Mary “Pete” Scott, 82, of Walnut Hill, passed away Friday, November 11, 2022, surrounded by her family.
She was born July 24, 1940, in Simpsonville, Kentucky, the daughter of Thomas Bradford and Fannie (Clark) Bradford. She married John E. Scott on October 31, 1959, and he preceded her in death after 50 years of marriage on February 6, 2010.
Pete is survived by her three children: Greg Scott and wife Lisa, Matt Scott and wife Susie, and Diane Oglesby and husband Keith; five grandchildren: Alexandra Sani and husband Jason, Lauren Scott, Travis Oglesby and wife Fallon, Matthew Scott and Tyler Scott; three step-grandchildren: John, Amber, and Scott; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many close and special friends and neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Thomas and Fannie Bradford, husband: John E. Scott, and two brothers: Ralph Bradford and Walter Bradford.
Pete owned and operated Kendall Dry Cleaners in Centralia for many years. She enjoyed fishing and crocheting. Pete had a passion for growing flowers and taking care of her yard. Most of all she cherished the time she spent with her family, friends, and her beloved dog and companion: Criesey.
A Private Graveside Service was held at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia.
