The Marion County Sheriff’s Department has made an arrest in connection with the theft of three spools of wire at a solar field installation site on US 51 north of Sandoval.
24-year-old Trevor Langford of Norton Road is already in the Marion County Jail on another theft charge.
The sheriff’s department reports they developed information on where the wire had been hidden off Pope Road north of Sandoval that also tied Langford to the theft.
The investigation is ongoing and the sheriff’s department reports there could be an additional arrest.
The wire valued at $7,000 was stolen from GRNE Solar which is developing a new solar field. The wire was stolen sometime after it was delivered on October 20th and had been confirmed missing by a drone flyover on October 28th.
