Danny Lee Wimberly, 70, of Centralia passed away Sunday, October 16, 2022, at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia.

He was born January 26, 1952, in Centralia, the son of Benjamin James Wimberly and Evelyn Mae (Pearce) Wimberly. He married Linda Kay (Sommers) Wimberly in January of 1981 and she survives him in Centralia.In addition to Linda Wimberly, Danny is survived by his son: Shawn Michael Wimberly and wife Robin of Centralia; grandchildren: Maya Wimberly and Jackson Wimberly; three step-grandchildren: Wyatt Fasig, Gabrielle Fasig, and Kevin Fasig; nine step-great-grandchildren; two sisters: Diana Langenfeld of Centralia and Ramona Gergeni of Iowa; one niece: Michele Wangler and husband Brice and son Benjamin; and nephew Jonathan Langenfeld and wife Jill.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents: Benjamin Wimberly and Evelyn Pearce and his brother-in-law: Gregory Langenfeld.

Danny worked for Hindman MFG which became Americana Building Products as a lead man for 42 years. He had a passion for music and was a drummer in several local bands for a number of years. He also was a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed taking afternoon joy rides on his motorcycle. He was a good man and was always there to help anyone. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Per Danny Wimberly’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and a graveside service will be held at Paradise Cemetery in Salem on Friday, October 28, 2022, at 1:00 pm with Pastor John Willis officiating.
