Shelby Pollard Lowery, age 84 of Salem, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at Doctors Nursing and Rehabilitation in Salem.
Shelby was born on December 26, 1937, in Marion County, the daughter of Buran and Delores (Burkett) Fogerson. She married Richard Pollard and they later divorced, she then married William Lowery and who preceded her in death.
Survivors include her children, Rick Pollard of Iuka, Randy Pollard and wife Becky of TX; Rod Pollard and wife Sandy of Salem, and Reed Pollard of Salem; Stepchildren, Mike Lowery and wife Donna of Centralia, Jack Lowery and wife Paula of Woodlawn, Scott Lowery of Salem; Linda McNabb of Dupo, IL, Billie Boyles and husband Bill of Kell, Lori Hickey and husband Jeff of Centralia; brother, Dean Fogerson; grandchildren, Kendra, Brandon, Chelsea, and Ronnie; great-grandchildren, Cade, Kenzie, Carter, and Kambri; and several step grand and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband William; a son, Ronnie Pollard; and a brother, Larry.
Shelby worked as a nurse for several years and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Salem. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and birdwatching, and was very outspoken.
Graveside services for Shelby Pollard Lowery will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at East Lawn Cemetery in Salem with Claude Howell officiating. Crouse Funeral Home in Salem is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences can be made at www.CrouseFH.com.
