Phyllis C. Pitchford, 84, of Marion, passed away on Sunday, September 13,2026 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
Phyllis was born on March 8, 1942, in Mt. Vernon to Carl J. and Louisa A.(Richardson) Dyel. She was a graduate of Mt. Vernon High School in the
class of 1960. Phyllis married Larry Pitchford on September 2, 1960, and together they shared 66 years of marriage.

A time of visitation will be held at Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home on Monday, September 21, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Following the time of visitation, the funeral service will be at the funeral home on Monday at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Sarah Wanck and Pastor Gabe Wanck officiating.
