Two members of the Marion County Drug Court Program have been sentenced to prison after violating provisions of the program.

Both 37-year-old Jessica Murray of North Maple in Centralia and 39-year-old John Ferguson of Pope Road in Sandoval both were sentenced to four and a half years in prison by Judge Mark Stedelin.

Murray had pleaded guilty to felony criminal damage to property, felony retail theft, aggravated battery, and two separate counts of possession of methamphetamine to get into drug court.  The petition to revoke was filed for noncompliance with the treatment program requirements and for removing her GPS bracelet without permission.  Murray will have to complete one year of mandatory supervised release upon release from prison.

The charges that Murray pled guilty to included a January 2024 aggravated battery for striking the victim in the head with a hatchet.   She was charged with felony criminal damage to property for damaging her electronic home monitoring device in May 2025.  The retail theft incident was at the Centralia Walmart store and was a felony due to a prior conviction.

Ferguson had pleaded guilty to two separate counts of possession of methamphetamine to enter the drug court program.  The revocation was for testing positive to use of methamphetamine.  Ferguson will have to complete six months of mandatory court supervision upon release from prison.
