A 19-year-old Salem man has been sentenced to four years in prison after his probation was revoked on multiple convictions based on new charges being filed against him.

Tyree Wilborn of Charleston Road had earlier been placed on probation for mob action following an incident in April of last year where he reportedly swarming a car driving through Bryan Memorial Park. He was also on probation for aggravated battery to a juvenile walking down Roddy Road. In another case, Wilborn was on probation for obstructing justice and aggravated battery to a correctional officer at the Marion County Jail.

As part of the plea, two counts of domestic battery pending against Wilborn following an arrest earlier this year was dropped as part of the plea. The four year prison term was a negotiated plea between the States Attorney’s office and his public defender and was accepted by Judge Mark Stedelin in Marion County Court on Thursday. Wilborn received the four year prison term on each charge, with the time to run concurrently.

Once out of prison, Wilborn will have to serve one year of mandatory supervised release.
