First game recap:
Salem Cats won over Chaos 5-3. Gwen Goostree led the Salem Cats with 2 hits in 3 at bats, Khaeler Williams, Kaylee, Jersey Thorpe and Mira Deadmond all had one hit in 2 at bats. . Avree Winegarner and Gwen each drove in one run for Salem. Kaylee Carroll earned the win for Salem Cats. The reliever gave up 3 hits, one run over 3 innings, striking out 6 and walking 2. Julianna Rushing stepped in the circle first for Salem. The starter surrendered 1 hit and 2 runs (zero earned) over 2 innings, striking out 2 and walking one.
Second game recap:
Salem Cats beat Casey Chaos 6-3. Salem jumped out to lead in the bottom of the first inning after Kaylee Carroll tripled scoring 2 runs and Izzie Hall singled, scoring one. Mira Deadmond doubled and Gwen grounded out to extend Salem’s lead in the second inning. Salem also had hits from Harper McCarthy, Jersey, and Ana Thompson.
Shaylee Vest earned the win for Salem as she allowed 3 hits and 3 runs (2 earned) over 3 1/3 innings, striking out two and walking two. Kaylee collected the save.
